Photography / Conceptual

I am torn between university and art...
on the one hand I want to finish university and get a nice job. of course it is not that easy, because I actually don't know what I want to do after the bachelor. the only thing I know at the moment is, that I want to get the bachelor^^
on the other hand I love art, I love taking photos, I love looking at other people's awesome works and I also see how much some artists give to earn money with their art, to make a living out of it. that makes me dreaming of beeing a full time artist...but how? then the doubts come that I will probably not make it...

I don't know if you can see all that in the photo. there is probably more behind...I worked on this picture for hours - I can't even tell if it is good or not, if the concept is clear and so on. So I would appreciate a constructive critique very much!

pezi, there are a lot of things u can do being a photographer!! publications, journals, magazines, covers! and most important ART!

people on this things wants professional photographers, and u are creative! besides u are a designer too! and with a little of imagination u can mix both works in time to times.. what could be more fun then that?

but ofc u can always choose others things. and continue to photograph as a hobby.

So you are in a quite similar situation to my own...
Well, I think that you will be a great artist no matter if you become professional at it or not. You already are - having a head full of ideas and making them come to life

But how and if it's a good idea to become professional, I don't know that either... Well, it's all about whether you can do something that others will commission or buy and whether you want to do it. There are things I could do for small amounts of money, but I don't want to do them... I've made a choice similar to yours at the moment and I am going to keep going on my personal artistic path while striving to get a degree and, as you say, a "nice job"

And I'll keep an eye open on what life has to bring...
