water the stream, let it grow by Nilanja water the stream, let it grow by Nilanja
~waveystar and I were taking some photos at a stream, the water was rather cold. I was already in the water and ~waveystar was just joining when she grabbed a branch to hang onto and suddenly a watering can felt out of the bush haha.
It was full of dirt and we had to pull that out before we could use it for the photo^^
Altough this was very spontaneous and I wasn't sure if the photo would even turn out good I really like the outcome!

What do you guys think?

Hey :)

You've asked me to give you a critique on this piece. I'll do my best :)
Don't mind the star-ratings so much, they are just stars :)

I would probably make 2-3 minorchanges to this image. Since art is a subject to personaltaste my recommendations aren't rules.

I would up the contrast on the backgroun a little, this to make the girl pop out a little more.
I would also try to adjust the temperature in the image a little and by the looks of it, I think warming it up a little would be nice.
Also I would up the vibrance of the image as a whole to make it look a bit more fresh in a way.

I think you've done a really great job here and I'm looking forward to see more from you :)

Hope this was somewhat helpful :)

oooh ok^^
well I planed something with that topic but I don't think it would fit to this photo. I think the mood or look of photos of a series should be quite similar. and the one I planned will be totally different ;P

Yes, that's true. The mood/look of series is just as important as the subject :)
I always find that hard to reproduce when the photos are not on the same time/location (especially outdoors).

Anyways, you've made me curious!! I'm looking forward to whatever you have planned!!
